ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Tenured professors and first-year undergrads alike know that Northeastern’s commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem is second to none. In this update, we will share stories of fortitude, innovation, and creative thinking within Northeastern’s entrepreneurial sphere that you may not have heard before.

Included in this Update:

  • Turning undergraduate scientists into entrepreneurs
  • Finding inspiration across the pond
  • One student's aim to predict epileptic seizures
  • Around the Global Network

Science Connects to Innovation

Through a comprehensive program including a pitch competition, speaker series, and workshops, the College of Science is providing undergraduate students with the skills to become entrepreneurs. Dean Hazel Sive is personally invested in this initiative, running a pitch workshop for students in February to teach them how to translate their ideas into a 5 minute pitch. This program gives students a safe place to learn these skills and prepare for the annual Husky Startup Challenge.
