The Innovation Alliance launch event is a springboard to creating a network of investors and entrepreneurs to advance, sustain, and elevate discovery and innovation in healthcare technologies in Maryland. These collaborations will align with University of Maryland, Baltimore’s broader goal of increasing the biomedical workforce and startup landscape in Baltimore and throughout the state.
Through this event, you will learn about opportunities to engage and participate in our innovation initiatives:
- Innovation Alliance Gatherings to continuously learn about areas of discovery for investment.
- The Innovation Alliance Advisory Group will review pilot grants and have an impact on early-stage projects for our researchers.
- Innovation Alliance Mentors will guide our researchers in developing new businesses, in partnership with UM-BILD.
- The University of Maryland School of Medicine Innovation Fund will catalyze investment in early-stage med-tech enterprises and provide pilot funding alongside other sources of private capital.
