Jean Marie Richardson

Founder & CEO, iFOLIO

Jean Marie Richardson is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of iFOLIO. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s technology strategy, software development, and growth.


Since 2016, Jean Marie has led iFOLIO to 10X growth, helping clients transform digital marketing and sales enablement. Under her leadership, the company powers more than 2,600,000+ live sites, and 330 SaaS capabilities for clients across industries. iFOLIO has helped customers generate 300% growth through personalized marketing and millions of dollars of increased sales annually.

Technology Innovation

Richardson has been awarded 3 US patents for customer engagement analytics.

Jean Marie and her team focused on the development of innovative cloud services for marketing, sales enablement, and data & analytics functions. Using an agile approach and the latest in engineering practices, the team enhanced the Marketing Cloud experience for customers and built out transformational capabilities through a central cloud of common services and micro services. Richardson has led the build of transformational capabilities that are powering the iFOLIO strategy including a high performance, all-in-one marketing cloud that helps teams deliver sales content, web content, marketing content, reports, and personalized customer experiences via email, text message, and PURLs. The collaborative CMS (content management system) capabilities enable systems of connected units with dedicated media libraries, creative tools, master templates, and digital content, all powered by industry leading analytics. A single integrated platform saves time and cost for teams that often spend hours per day in 5 or 6 different platforms. 

iFOLIO has proven that personalization delivers results. The average open rate for an email marketing campaign is 20%, yet iFOLIO personalized experiences deliver an astonishing 70% email open rate across the platform. iFOLIO digital content averages 6 minutes and 34 seconds engagement compared to industry averages of 10 seconds.

Background

Jean Marie founded iFOLIO in 2016 after seeing first hand the challenges of supporting sales and marketing across multiple platforms and the need for a flexible, friendly platform to speed up digital transformation for teams.

Prior to iFOLIO Jean Marie spent 12 years in the technology sector.  Jean Marie served in product management at Microsoft and at Oracle Corporation, where she managed a mobile innovation initiative and spearheaded the acquisition of a mobile platform company. She managed the acquisition, delivering 180 converted customers and $6 Million in new sales. Post-acquisition she managed the product development team and led go to market launch of new mobile CRM products with Citibank and Konica.

At MasterCard, Jean Marie was Vice President of Business-to-Business Commercial Acceptance, where she managed a Profit and Loss and grew a B2B Supplier Enablement program to $1.2 Billion GDV (Gross Dollar Volume) working with Financial Institutions such as Citibank and BBVA and enterprises.

Jean Marie graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. 

Culture & Service

Jean Marie Richardson is committed to fostering team culture, diversity, and innovation as she grows iFOLIO. The company is a WBENC certified woman owned company and a SOC 2 Type 2 certified company, with more than 17 awards for innovation.

She gives back to the Atlanta community through team service projects along with paid time off, mentoring, and Monday Mentoring through the Atlanta Business Chronicle. She supports women in tech through scholarships. She has pioneered the iFOLIO NIL Brand Ambassador program which has grown to include more than 16 female athletes in 4 NCAA sports.

Jean Marie Richardson serves in leadership roles across Atlanta and 5 boards. She serves on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board (GTAB) to the President including regional, national, and international members with diverse leadership roles in business, government, and academia.
She serves on the Technology Advisory Committee to the Georgia Tech Foundation Board.  She serves on the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business Advisory Board and the Georgia Tech Athletics Alexander Tharpe Fund Board of Directors.  She serves on the Cadence Bank Atlanta Advisory Board, and previously on the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board. She serves as chairman of the iFOLIO Investor Board.

Her outstanding work earned her these awards:

  2. Most Innovative Woman of the Year, Business Services, Gold Stevie® Award, in 2024 out of 1500 global submissions including IBM and Meta. 
  3. Tech Woman of the Year, global Silver Stevie® Award for her technology leadership in 2024. 
  4. Tech Most Innovative Woman of the Year, global Silver Stevie® Award for her innovation leadership in 2024.
  5. Best Female Entrepreneur, Business Products, Gold Stevie® Award for Woman in Business, out of 1400 global submissions including AWS and Salesforce in 2023.

For her contributions to marketing innovation, Richardson was awarded a Marketing Innovator of the Year Award from the Technology Association of Georgia in 2019. For her contributions to business growth, she was recognized by the National Diversity Council as a Woman of Power in 2015.  She was awarded the prestigious President's Scholarship at Georgia Institute of Technology, where she graduated with honors. Jean Marie is recognized as a Georgia Tech Woman of Impact in a permanent tribute on campus in 2024. 

She resides in Atlanta with her husband Hap and her dogs Harper Lee and Beaux.
