How to Use iFOLIO's 3-Step Campaign Application for Simple Email Campaigns
iFOLIO's Simple Email builder lets you send a personalized, branded email campaign in 3 steps.
1. Customize Messaging & Visuals
2. Choose iFOLIO Link Options
3. Load List, Schedule, & Send
Choose Campaign Builder
Access Campaigns from inside the iFOLIO Admin Dashboard, by clicking the Campaigns tab. Select Simple Email from the Campaign Builder options, and click Start Designing.

Step 1: Customize Your Email
This is where you build your email message, add visuals, and configure delivery settings.
Click "Save Draft" at any point to save your progress for later.

Email Subject Line
Customize the subject line for the campaign. You can add emojis or personalization, see below.
Email Message
Write your email copy in the message editor. Changes appear in the preview on the right as you type.
Important: Keep the [link] placeholder in your message. This is what generates each recipient's individualized tracked link to your iFOLIO page.
Email Signature
Add or customize the signature below your message. You can include logos, website links, and phone numbers. To add an opt-out or opt-in link, paste it into the signature here — see the CAN-SPAM section at the bottom of this page for guidance.
Choose a Sender Email
Select the sender address recipients will see the email come from. The dropdown is populated from the user emails in your organization's account.
Test to Yourself
Enter your email address in the Test to Yourself field to send a preview to your own inbox before scheduling.
BCC / CRM Integration
Enter an email address in the BCC field to blind copy an address or automate campaign sends into your CRM using iFOLIO's Reverse CRM technology.

Personalize Your Message
iFOLIO supports personalization in your subject line and email body. Personalized emails have a 26% higher open rate than generic emails.
To personalize, wrap any attribute in square brackets — for example, [Name], [Membership Level], or [Renewal Date]. When you add a personalization field, make sure you've added a matching column to your campaign list in Step 3.

Add Images
Banner - Click the Add Image button on the banner of the email or text message preview. This opens the media library where you can upload or select an image. Use the crop tool to fit the banner properly. To remove the banner, deselect the checkbox above the preview.
Avatar - Click the Add Image button on the Avatar Circle in the in the preview. To remove it, deselect the Avatar checkbox above the preview.
Signature Image - Click the Add Image button in the email signature to upload or select an image. To remove it, deselect the checkbox above the preview.

Change Button Color
Use the Button Color option next to the Subject Line field to change the color of the link button in your email.

Step 2: Choose iFOLIO Link Options
Select the iFOLIO page you want recipients to land on, then choose how the link will be delivered.

Step 3: Upload List and Schedule Send
Upload Your Campaign List
Download the list template and fill it in, or upload a spreadsheet you've already prepared. Each row is one recipient.
If you added personalization fields in Step 1 or in an iFOLIO PURL page, make sure your spreadsheet includes a matching column for each one.

Schedule Your Send
Choose when the campaign goes out:
Click Schedule to confirm. If you're not ready, click Save Draft — your draft will be available from the Campaign dashboard.

The CAN-SPAM Act applies to commercial email — messages whose primary purpose is to advertise or promote a product or service.
Emails that are typically NOT covered by CAN-SPAM include transactional or relationship messages such as:
