Advocacy Education is at the core of the identity of the Stetson University College of Law. The Advocacy Institute houses our highly regarded Centers for Excellence and Institutes, including Advocacy, Biodiversity Law and Elder Law. Bringing these esteemed entities together fosters collaboration on the important teaching, scholarship, research and service that each provides. Students specializing in these areas gain the ability to work together, share ideas and sharpen skills needed to advocate for their clients.
With the Advocacy Institute, Stetson Law increases its number of working campus courtrooms from four to 11—more than any other law school campus involved in advocacy competitions. Investments in courtroom and classroom technology showcase Stetson Law as an innovator in trial advocacy and provide our students with vital resources. The space contains seven state-of-the-art courtrooms, practice areas, classrooms and the campus bookstore. A renovated lobby entrance features a trophy wall, with room to house past, present and many expected future awards.
As a result of the marked increase in courtrooms, Stetson Law enhances its ability to host events like the National Pretrial Competition and the International Environmental Moot Court Competition, allowing us to showcase our beautiful campus and attract students, faculty and visiting scholars.
